Before a tirzepatide screen visit

Virtual tirzepatide specialists

Know the care. Check the claim.

A plain-language guide to understanding the drug and finding real care online.

Start with the care

Myth to check

Going online means skipping the medical visit.

Rethink that tirzepatide assumption

A screen visit needs the same care and medical checks as a visit in a room.

A screen can hold a real visit

Telehealth means medical care by video, phone, or messages with the person treating you.

Ask whether that person is a doctor, a nurse trained to prescribe, or a physician assistant. Which care they may give depends on state rules.

State medical boards, which license doctors, expect the same medical checks online as in a room.

Look for a review of your health history, room for questions, and a plan for any needed tests or exam.

The drug is real; the offer needs checking

FDA is short for Food and Drug Administration, the US agency for medicines.

As of 26 September 2026, tirzepatide has FDA approval as Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes, which affects blood sugar. Zepbound has approval for long-term weight care for adults with obesity, or for adults who are overweight and have a health problem linked to weight. It also treats a sleep breathing problem in adults with obesity.

That breathing problem is moderate to severe sleep apnea: repeated pauses in breathing during sleep. Mounjaro also has approval for reducing the chance of a heart attack, a stroke, or death due to heart disease among adults at high risk who have type 2 diabetes.

A drug name on a website does not settle who is assessing you or which pharmacy is sending it.

Check the care first, then the product and the full bill.
